Jewelry for Your Inner Goddess: Sexy 50 Shades of Grey Inspired Picks

I admit it. I am completely smitten with the 50 Shades of Grey trilogy by E.L. James. I am one of those people who you’ve heard about that read the first book in one sitting. All 382 pages of it.

Is it the best thing I’ve ever read?  Absolutely not. Not even close. In fact, Bared To You by Sylvia Day is probably better. But it was my first introduction into real erotic literature. I’m not taking about the Danielle Steele and Harlequin Romance novels of yesteryear.  I am talking about real erotica… and in this case, a mix of kink/BDSM and vanilla erotica.

It’s sexy. So…so… SeXy.

Your significant other will be thankful you are reading it. Trust me

Ana Steele and Christian Grey are very complicated characters… characters I grew to love.  As for the whole BDSM world they live in?  Well, I’d be lying if I didn’t say that I wasn’t fascinated by it.

But I digress, we aren’t here to talk about 50 Shades. We’re here to talk about baubles, and these pieces would be perfect for your inner (or outer) Ana Steele!

Sexy plus Bondage-y = 50 Shades-y

Throughout the 50 Shades novels Ana heeds the words of her “inner goddess.”  I envision her inner goddess to look something like this…

Mud Flap Jill Necklace by Wendy Brandes, $1,600 (also available in silver $500 and rose gold $1,600)

An inner goddess should be as sexy as the things she is telling you to do.  Mud Flap Jill is perfect!

As for the rest of your jewelry…

Jennifer Fisher’s Jewelry is perfect for anyone who has a soft spot for Christain Grey or Ana… or just loves spikes and bondage-y looking accessories.  Like me.

Now, of course, we can’t talk about all of this sexy jewelry without highlighting the ever-so-fabulous body chain! The types of body jewelry available today are simply out of this world.  They can go from day… to sexy night… straight to the bedroom!  Your choice.

I’ve not seen this post yet but I certainly have been hearing a lot of buzz around the book. I know very little about it other than it’s a bit sexy. What is the hype all about? Great jewelry picks by the way.

I’d actually never heard of the series before, but when I looked it up on Amazon, people either gave it 1 star or 5! Looks like I’ll either love it or hate it, ha — but either way, I’m intrigued. I tried not to read much about it because I hate knowing everything about a book (or movie, for that matter) before diving in. I like to go in without much expectations. 🙂

As for the accessories, I don’t know if I’d feel comfortable wearing any of them, but they are gorgeousss! Love Wendy’s girl, of course.

I’d never heard of it, and from the amazon reviews I’m not sure I need to go investigate further. Plus, when your partner is in a different country, it’s probably not the best time in the world to be reading erotica! I do however love the body chains, and especially that shoulder one!

I can’t lie–I’ve debated getting it for my nook. Then my BFF told me her mom was reading it and I felt weird! haha.

Its so funny to me that the whole world has been talking about this book but I only heard about it on Thursday. A friend said something iin passing but in a way that made me think she expected me to know what she was talking about. Then another friend asked about what her friends thought about the book on Facebook, and here you are taliking about the book on your blog! Now not only do I know what the book is about, but I your sexy collection of jewelery is making me think I might have to go check out the book for inspiration as well.

What an AWESOME post! Love this idea, and the pieces, of course. You know I have a weakness for leather, chains, harnesses, spikes, and STUDS, pun intended! That necklace for the shoulders thingy is amaze!

Haven’t read the book yet, but I did download Sylvia’s Seven Years to Sin, per your reco, and will be reading it after I finish Natural Law on the plane tomorrow! Not sure I like the BDSM in Natural Law, so I’m wondering if I should read 50 or not. Tell me the truth, B, knowing how we both LOVED Bared to You, is 50 worth the money?

Anyway, again fantastically creative post! Love it!

Will be in touch soon. Have a great weekend!

And yeah, these books—your partner WILL thank you. 😉

Thanks, V! I think it’s pretty clear that the two of us have similar tastes where jewelry is concerned. And fashion. And Tom Ford. And STUDS. And makeup. And just about everything else, apparently. LOL

I know you’ll like Seven Years. Honestly, I think that 50 Shades is a lot closer to Bared to You in content than Natural Law. I felt like the plot of Natural Law was more about the BDSM than it was about the characters and I think 50 Shades is the opposite. It’s not the most well written book in the world, and Anna can occasionally grate on the nerves, but I still managed to love it.

I think you will too 🙂

Add it to your read-on-the-plane list!
