Couldn’t go to NYC for #IFBCon? Watch it here – LIVE!

I am going to pretend that you are reading this post as soon as it was published at 12AM.  With that in mind, I can say with 100% confidence that I am – at this very moment – living one of these three scenarios:

  1. I am being completely lame and am asleep in my hotel room (Boo!  I imagine no one in NYC sleeps the night before #IFBCon!);
  2. After an exciting and fun night of meeting new blogger friends (and having a few drinks!) I am relaxing in my hotel room, chatting it up with roomies Grit and Glamour and Anika, and plotting how I am going to steal Vahni’s shoe collection without her noticing; or
  3. We are still out painting the town red and partying it up with new friends.  This is NYC after all and 12AM is no time to be in bed!!!!!

Roomies and drinks! The perfect combination!

UPDATE: Scenario #4 –  Turns out there was another option.  Develop a case of pneumonia over the weekend that results in the CANCELLATION of my NYC trip.  Yes, friends.  Sometimes life truly does get in the way.  I am heartbroken to be missing this!

If I was a betting woman (which, let’s face it, I am!) I would place my bets on scenario #3.

The only thing that would make the week even more perfect?  If you could all be in NYC with us!

Unfortunately, life often gets in the way of fun.  I know better than anyone that other commitments (like a non-blog related job and finances!) can often get in the way of events like these.  I am thrilled beyond belief that I am actually able to be a part of the fun this week, and look forward to telling you all about my experiences in NYC when I return.  But in the meantime – you can still be a part of the conference today!

The powers-that-be at IFB have once again made the conference available to everyone via livestream!  So no matter where you are – be it home, work, or play – you can check out what is going on at Milk Studios in NYC.

As someone who watched the last livestream back in February, here are a few tips for you before you begin:

  1. If your schedule allows it, watch the whole thing. You will NOT regret it.
  2. If you must pick and choose, determine which panel will benefit you the most and plan your day’s schedule around that.
  3. Want to feel like you are in NYC? Watch and TWEET at the same time using the #IFBCon hashtag.  I did this in February and it was well worth it.
    • Tweeting allows you to participate in #IFCon as part of a community – and that is what blogging is all about, right?  Community!
    • Comment on the things you hear and add your 2 cents – keep the conversation going online!

So, pick your poison:

We all know expertise and time doesn’t come free in other industries, why is social media different? B, I’m so sorry to hear you got sick. Take care of yourself. I was bummed that it was so close to Burning Man, I only go every so often and this was the year most of my best friends and I had planned to go. I’m looking forward to reading about it and catching up. In the meantime, give yourself the care and rest you deserve.

We missed you, B, so much! I love the spirit of this post…that’s my girl. Humor in the face of major disappointment. We’ll see each other one day, I’m sure!

I would have loved to catch the second panel. Very envious of the collection of blogger power in your very room.
