Must Watch: Lady Dior – Lady Grey London starring Marion Cottilard and Ian McKellan

Just a quick post to share something the cinephile in me thinks is absolutely magnificent.

In case you haven’t been following the on-going saga of Lady Dior, the latest installment is pure brilliance and a great place to start.  Directed by John Cameron Mitchell and starring the beautiful Marion Cottilard and Sir Ian McKellen, the almost 8-minute film is sure to leave an impression.  Although the film has no dialogue, the wonderful acting and musical accompaniment do all the talking.  Check it out and let me know what you think!

Haven’t heard of Lady Dior, thanks for letting us know and the artistic film. If body language and music can let you know about what’s going on. Then that is a great piece.

Interesting. I *know* what the movie is doing; I know what old, old heartstrings it’s trying to pull with the storylines, music, lighting, and expressions; and the product placement is sooo blatant…but dang, I want a chic, crisp, yet edgy Lady Dior bag now, and the little accessories too!

This is very moving even though there were no words. I love the part where the young man takes the black paint and splatters it on the wall to reveal a masterpiece. Can’t wait to see what’s next!
