With 2010 drawing to a close, you may have noticed an increasing number of posts in the blogosphere that focus on various “best of” categories, serve as a “year in review” summary, or show reader appreciation. I love reading all of these, but especially have a soft spot for those that focus on reader appreciation.
The wonderful thing about blogging is the sense of camaraderie and community that is present amongst people that are – literally – located all over the world. Whether you are a fellow blogger, a reader who regularly comments on posts, or simply someone who lurks, your interest and interaction is what makes all of this worthwhile. This is why so many bloggers use this time of the year to “give back” if they can. This is why I would like to hold a “Blog Event” on Beautifully Invisible!
As I mentioned the other day, Vahni of grit and glamour “gave back” by naming her picks for Blogger of the Year (V: thank you, for the millionth time!), Most Valuable Blogger, Most Improved Blogger and more.

Kristy Eléna of Vogue Gone Rogue and Sunglass Hut Full Time Fabulous Blogger finalist went a different route and created a Blog Event for the holiday season. She reached out to her readership and, with their input, created the fabulous video below (note: rate and comment on her post if you love it. #TEAMKRISTY!)
All three of these ladies went above and beyond the call of blogger duty by creating something special that touched the hearts of everyone involved.
All three of these ladies inspired me to do something to show my appreciation for each of you.
To be honest, I was thinking about this all weekend and had an extremely difficult time coming up with an original idea. I don’t want to do a typical “best of’ list because I would rather leave that to the experts like V and Bella and I don’t have the videographer skills to do something like Kristy!
What I DO have is a platform to help recognize each of your blogs and your own contribution to the blogosphere in 2010.
So, here’s the deal… although this is a “Best Of” of sorts, it is one that will be created with YOUR input!
