Tiiu's hair is gorgeous, isn't it? Mine looks like that on a good day, In my dreams. HAH!

I think your analysis of Project Runway was right on for this season. The runner-up was couture, while the winner was mainstream MK.

I agree that the Shameless ads are quite cheeky. I think that is why I like them, Unlike the CK ads that have caused all that controversy, these are clearly playful.

Thank you for the words of wisdom about scheduling, etc I have never NOT had a schedule, so I think, for me, having to step outside that is what is freaking me out. It is slowly falling back into place though:)

Finally, thank you for your kind words. They are MUCH appreciated :) *hugs*

You are right about Gretchen, she did design more eco-friendly clothing. I am assuming she will go back to that now. We'll see. Her style is definitely more mainstream, I just find it dull. Unoriginal. Mondo's work, on the other hand, is creative and inspired. I wonder if you are right about Nina being out next season. It will be interesting to see how the fallout from the article, combined with the fallout from the winner of PR, plays out.

As for the Shamelss ads, if they were trying to channel Don Draper they failed miserably. LOL But yet I like the cheekiness of the ads.

I applaud you for taking on that writing challenge again this year, and wish you all the luck in the world. I actually considered participating for a second, but there is no way I could ever do that at this time of the year! Meanwhile, if I ever figure out how to create more hours in a day, I'll let you know! :)

I agree - a bra would have helped the styling of that red dress immensely.

I have no doubt blogger burnout is real, I just think I am suffering from a different type, is all :) I appreciate the advice. You are certainly right in that life is about lulls - I am looking forward to the next one! LOL

Hi MJ, I completely agree about those boots. Perfect!

I think I am still in a state of denial about PR. In my heart, Mondo is - and always will be - the winner!

I know that I shouldn't feel guilty about burnout, but I can't help it, I get frustrated when I want to be doing something, but I just don't have the time! Thanks for the pep-talk, though :)

The pics with Tiiu are really beautiful. I hadn't seen her in ages: had no idea she's blonde now! The clothes are to die for, of course, but more than that I'm coveting the hairstyle ;).
Right now I don't have cable tv so I have long lost the clue of Project Runway. I think it is good television, but find that many times the approach of the judges is way too stiff. There are times when they will appreciate couture and Art, while most of the ocassions I get the feeling that they only want designers who do Michael Kors-style pieces. This is just my opinion of course!
The Suits Supply ad campaign is risqué but also kind of tongue-in-cheek I think. Even though the situations depicted are "R rated", I don't think the images look trashy or vulgar at all, which must have been difficult to achieve. The lighting is perfect but I do agree that the clothes fall on a very 2nd place. The situations are just way too distracting! :D
So far I haven't heard of "blogger burnout". I think that these days (specially during the last 2 months of the year) we are all forced to handle way more than we're capable of, either by circumstances or by people we oughta support. Right now I'm in an extremely busy time myself and I thought that I would end up slacking a bit on my blog posts. However, I have realized that blogging keeps me balanced. I know it's an additional task and it takes a lot of time but, somehow, it's like meditating for me. Sort of a reminder of what matters for me, you know? I guess that I'll have to organize my schedule this weekend so that I stop worrying about not blogging/not reading blogs, maybe leave 1 day each week just to do that. I've never had a 'schedule' before so you can imagine how new the whole 'busy' thing is to me!
Your blog makes me smile, it's full of intelligent insights! THANK YOU XX B.

Love Tiiu Kuik! That shoot is gorgeous. I love the second piece especially.

I've never really watched PR, but I remember Gretchen's looks being my favorite in one episode I saw. I think it was one of the challenges that she won. From the little bit I remember, it seems like Gretchen was sort of Liz Claiborne to the show's Alexander McQueen taste? Very mainstream. I think I read that she designed eco-friendly clothes before PR - I think that's fantastic, but it just doesn't fit into the image I get when I think Project Runway. I have a feeling that given the viewers' frustrations and the recent Marie Claire debacle Nina will most likely be out next season...

I don't really have an opinion on that advertorial - except that the first one made me lol for some reason. Just your average guy lookin' up a girl's skirt in public, no big deal. It looks like they're trying to channel Don Draper, but this fella doesn't quite have Don's prowess. He just looks rather bored.

I feel you on There-Isn't-Enough-Hours-in-a-Day burnout, though in terms of writing posts I'm doing well and actually feel like I have a decent groove going. I've been feeling stretched thin for weeks, though, and rather than address it I took on NoNoWriMo this month (which involves writing a 50k word novel before December). The writing time - both for the blogs and for NaNo - as well as the mountain of correspondence I have waiting for me leaves very little time for blog reading/commenting. Factor in pesky things like meals, sleep and hygiene and any chance of being a successful and supportive blog-reader goes out the window. If only we could create more hours in a day!
