Hi Naina, thank you so much for commenting! I apologize for taking so long to respond – things have been rather hectic as of late!

V’s blog is full of wonderful information on switching blogging platforms, and I have decided to post by own “how-to” after all, so look for that next week. I hope some people will find my experience helpful in their own move.

As for posting ever day – you are right. Quality over quantity!

HI. I just found your blog over at grit and glamour and it’s been great reading about blogging tips on your blog and over at the grit and glamour. I am relatively new to blogging and I am considering switching to WordPress or another platform so all of this information is so helpful. I also work full time and I just cannot always post everyday. I am starting to realize it’s ok and actually better to do it this way if I don’t have much new and original content. Thank you! Naina

Thank you Heather, that is a great compliment! I am the furthest thing from a seasoned blogger, but it’s nice to know someone would think that! 🙂

I think new bloggers all go through similar growing pains. As we get more seasoned, we get less afraid of change!

I like your “hodge-podge”. I think the mix of fashion and drawings works well on your blog – it makes it stand out, which si always a good thing!

It’s funny because when i was first thinking about setting up my blog I wanted to start on wordpress.org, but I just felt completely overwhelmed by it, so I went with blogger instead. If I had known how intuitive it would be, I would never have started on blogger!

I wasn’t able to see the “before” of your blog, but I love your current layout. It’s very clean and professional looking, and really easy to navigate. I am following you on bloglovin’ now.

Blogging has made me realize that there really aren’t enough hours in the day! LOL I can’t even imagine trying to juggle all of it with a side project like a jewelry line.

I don’t try to “force” posts anymore, and now I won’t do something I had scheduled if something else comes along. I try to stick to 1 post max. I may do two if it’s something REALLY simple.

I haven’t decided if I am going to do that step-by-step. V’s recent posts (and that Build a Better Blog) page really cover everything! I don’t know if I could add anything worthwhile.

Balancing the time spent on a blog with the rest of your personal commitments is a challenge. Why? Because putting 100% effort into your blog includes responding to comments and emails. It includes building relationships with other bloggers and helping grow the community as a whole. That is all very time-consuming. But it is also worthwhile. And it means that you sometimes just need some time to breathe." People don't realize how much work it is to have a good blog...it's like having a second full-time job!
